Brownie is a kitten with a dream. He wants to sing on the of the Eight Great Cat Choruses in Relictown.

However, he is declawed domestic from outside the colony. He is shunned by the other cats, and left alone, without even the ability to hunt.

But Brownie doesn't give up. As he gets stronger, he assembles a rag-tag group of outcasts that share his dream.  Together, they form their own chorus.  A chorus that they hope is strong enough to challenge the most prestigious chorus in Relictown, the Clowder.

Brownie is just a few months old, but he has already lost his mother, his siblings, his claws, and the safety of the human house where he lived.

Luckily, he falls in with a group of traveling cats. They are a chorus that perform in all of the neighboring towns.

As Brownie travels with them, he develops a love for singing and performing.  A love that will get him into an awful lot of trouble.
